Welcome to Motel Maldon!
Formerly known as Maldon’s Eaglehawk Motel, we are an affordable and comfortable family-run motel accommodation in Maldon, Victoria - Australia’s 'First Notable Town' located right in the heart of Central Victoria’s Goldfields. Maldon has the most intact heritage streetscape of any goldfield town in Victoria while being within easy reach of other attractions and significant centres in the region.
Current owners Olivia & Adrian Millman moved to Maldon from Geelong in late 2021. Adrian (a chef) and Olivia (a teacher) were captivated with the history, beauty, and charm of Maldon and the surrounding area. In purchasing the motel, it provided them with the perfect lifestyle/business/tree-change they had been seeking. Their goal is to provide a relaxing and enjoyable stay for Maldon visitors.
Guests can choose from 11 rooms featuring reverse-cycle air conditioning and heating, LCD flat screen TVs with internal DVD player, fridge, toaster, tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer, and a microwave oven. Rooms also feature their own ensuite with a shower over a bath.
All rooms are ground floor for easy access and parking and open onto a verandah with access and outlook to our inviting gardens which include a pool and an undercover BBQ area.
Our gardens are a great place to relax in your downtime and the early morning birdsong is a delight to wake to. Don't be surprised if you find yourself coming back again and again - many do!
Motel Maldon provides a great centrally located base from which to explore this fascinating region. The country style charm, ambience, and facilities with well-appointed rooms make for a unique 'motel' experience.

Thanks all for a really enjoyable stay in quiet town. We only slept at the double room with period furnishings, but loved it. A fridge, an electric kettle, and a microwave were a very nice touch.

Such a cozy spot, with comfy beds and thoughtful amenities. Loved the patio views of the stunning gardens and the option to relax by the pool. Great location for strolling into town. the warm welcome and easy-going vibe made it feel like a real home away from home.
Had a bit of trouble with a couple of windows being stubborn to close, but otherwise, all good!
